Who I Am
Jeanetta Calhoun Mish is a native Oklahoman who has happily returned home after twenty years to complete her Ph.D. in American Literature and to grow good tomatoes. Her chapbook, Tongue Tied Woman won the Edda Poetry Chapbook Competition for Women in 2002. Mish’s poetry has also been published recently LABOR: Studies in Working-Class History of the Americas, in Poetry Bay magazine, and in “Walt’s Corner” of the The Long-Islander. Anthology publications include poems in Returning the Gift and The Colour of Resistance. Her most recent poetry book, Work Is Love Made Visible, is in production with West End Press (distributed by University of New Mexico Press). February 2009 is the projected date of publication. Jeanetta is married to a structural engineer who memorizes poetry and together they have three sons, all between the ages of 16 and 18.
